The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will utilize their skills in electrical, computer, mechanical and robotics engineering to improve our manufacturing processes. In addition, you will have responsibility to lead cross departmental and organizational teams to complete NPD projects, engineering safety improvements and utilize new technologies to Rain Bird. Responsibilities Safety engineering, safety investigations, accident investigations and safety enforcement Designing and developing new electro-mechanical equipment and technologies to increase operational efficiencies Creating automated systems and the software to control them Ability to install, enhance and troubleshoot robotics equipment and programing Identify and troubleshoot existing electro-mechanical equipment such as extruders Programming of PLC's (Siemens, Allen Bradley), test digital platforms, circuit analysis, and signal analysis is required Ability to liaise with our strategic business units on implementing new products Proactively identify areas of opportunities, create strategic plan and work to improve them Train manufacturing personnel such as operators, technicians, and supervisors Travel internationally, attend training sessions, conferences and trade shows Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation and or Mechatronics Engineering 5
years of experience in plastic manufacturing involved in mechanical or electrical related engineering Ability to interpret, modify, and develop Mechanical, Electrical, and Pneumatic drawings Strong understanding of quality assurance, general statistics and Lean Six Sigma, data analysis and process improvement techniques Relevant experience with PLC controlled automation and issue diagnosis in a continuous process or production environment Strong understanding of automated vision inspection systems Proven track record of leading cross departmental teams utilizing strong project management skills Self-starter with the flexibility to work in multiple roles in a team environment Ability to work with production employees and must have a 'hands-on' approach to problem solving
Qualifications:
15
years of experience as an Automation Engineer and/or Mechatronics Engineer Experience with analog electronics (amplifiers, analog signal, filters), robotics (troubleshooting and programming), controls components and other automated equipment Experience identifying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and modifying motor controls including motor starters, variable frequency drives and DC drives Industrial electrical hands-on experience and troubleshooting, including 480V 3-phase, 260VAC 2-phase, 110 VAC, and 24VDC systems Experience identifying, maintaining, troubleshooting, programming and designing HMI and control network components
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Mechanical Engineering, Electrical EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
