Sr Production Supervisor at RainBird in Steele, AL
The Sr. Production Supervisor is to lead and develop their team into a high potential workforce. The supervisor will own the safety, quality, productivity, delivery and cost of their team and lead strategic projects to help achieve the plants vision and goals. Being on 1st shift, this position is expected to be able to aid in developing and implementing production strategies and creating an environment of continuous improvement. Responsibilities Ensure and improve the plant's safety regulations, regulatory controls, policies, and procedures Lead manufacturing activities with high speed equipment and maintain a high level of uptime Hire, develop, train and monitor production, technical, and support personnel Implement and support Lean Manufacturing methodology to achieve operational goals and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Assist in the management of the Corrective Action System Initiate and improve quality and process improvements Monitor productivity, reduce scrap and down time Lead 5S efforts and ensure the facility meets Rain Bird's standard at all times Manage timecard and payroll related issues for hourly personnel Manage attendance, formal problem solving, and disciplinary process for employees in accordance with the Rain Bird personnel Policies manual Create a high performance team and aid all production teams Ensure accurate and efficient communication between all departments and production personnel Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
BS or BA degree in business or technical discipline 5
years manufacturing supervision experience Experienced with 5S and Lean tools Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills Enthusiastic self-starter and excellent team player
Qualifications:
Graduate degree in business or technical discipline. Project Management experience in a seasonal business Highly flexible and creative with the ability to succeed in a very dynamic environment. Experience with Ultipro and PeopleSoft Manufacturing Modules.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
