5K a year 2 days ago 2 days ago 2 days ago Meyer Utility Structures, a division of Arcosa, Inc is seeking an experienced Lead NDT Quality Inspector to work at our location in Steele, AL.
These positions will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift that may require training on 1st shift.

In addition to that, our engineering solutions for voltages up to 765kV are designed with our proprietary software and have been validated through years of comprehensive, full-scale structural testing.
As a Quality Inspector at Meyer, you'll be part of a dedicated team that's committed to making the best utility structures in the world.
You'll provide visual/measured inspections/tests of materials/products to ensure conformance with standards and determine if products meet all requirements.
The Inspector will also complete inspection records, and report and follow appropriate codes and regulations.
What you'll do:
Make visual and measured inspections of products to ensure conformance with standards and determine if a product meets all requirements.
May inspect materials or plates, outgoing materials, fittings, and welds throughout the manufacturing process May perform an x-ray, destructive, or nondestructive examination to verify specified dimensions, strengths, and other quality factors using measuring instruments and inspection equipment May perform magnetic particle inspection Complete inspection records and reports Follow all safety rules and practices May be involved in safety committees or initiatives Perform other duties as assigned What you'll need:
Current or previous Level II certifications in UT and MT or relevant experience Familiarity with appropriate codes and regulations Basic reading and interpretation of blueprints and/or specifications Knowledge of inspection tools and measuring equipment Basic knowledge of operational function to be inspected Previous industry-related experience preferred Ability to maintain good attendance Train, instruct, and direct work activities of employees Monitor and adapt processes and scheduling to accomplish manufacturing goals.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
