3K a year Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa Subsidiary, is currently hiring for a Shipping and Receiving Operator to join our team in Steele, AL.
The Shipping and Receiving Fulfillment-Supt II (Matls Plng/Sche-Supt II) will be responsible for the shipping/receiving work to achieve plant goals while maintaining a high standard for safety, quality, and productivity at the Steele, AL facility.
What you'll do:
Receive all incoming purchased stock hardware (including tubing and angle) into JEE and place it into the proper location.
Once items are received, notate and sign the packing list and turn it in to accounts payable.
Coordinates with the Inventory Analyst on cycle counts, physical inventory, and reconciliation of plate and non-plate items.
Validate the Bill of Materials to the Drawing(s) for ship loose packing accuracy.
Creates and maintains spreadsheets and other documentation.
Accountable for inventory control & management in the bolt house and structural yard locations.
Verifies pictures, quantities, and items to ensure correct packaging in bolt house per ISO documentation.
Perform daily issues, pull and pack bolt shipments, then enter issues into JEE on a regular basis.
Accountable for calculating the quantity for structural pulls and communicating with the yard crew as to Perform weekly cycle counts as directed by the materials manager in accordance with cycle count procedures for stock items b and report results to the materials manager by the last day of each week.
Communicates with other departments for material pulls.
Coordinates with scrap vendor on pick-ups Coordinates with other plants on transfers (non-plate).
Perform an annual physical inventory of b items as directed by the materials manager.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the stock room.
What you'll need:
Proficient with Microsoft Excel Experience using JEE is preferred Excellent written and verbal communications skills Experience operating heavy equipment Able to work outdoors in variable weather conditions Able to maintain good attendance and safety record.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
